DESCRIPTION:COVID-19 Note: Given the ongoing state of the public health crisis\, we will move forward with offering this course on an online meeting platform\, like Zoom\, on these same dates. \n\nCOURSE DETAILS\nDate & Time: Wednesday evenings\, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on the following dates: June 3\, June 10\, June 17\, June 24\, July 1\, July 8\, July 15\, July 22\, and July 29\nLocation: Zoom\, or similar\nCourse description: The Sustainability Academy’s Master in Local Sustainability Course is a no-cost\, 9-week course that will provide you with in-depth knowledge of the following sustainability topics:\n\n\nNational and local food systems\nClimate change\nSea level rise\nEnergy efficiency and conservation\nWater efficiency and conservation\nSolid waste management\nTransportation\n\nThe course will also focus on the social and environmental justice context of all of these topics.\n\nAfter the completion of the course\, we require that you volunteer 40 hours of your time using the skills that you learned in the class to promote sustainability in your communities.
