SUMMARY:Linda Mar Beach Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by: Pacific Beach Coalition\n\nSite Captains: Jim and Ana\n\n\nWhere to Meet: On the west side of Highway 1 at Crespi Drive stoplight on the morning of the event. You many also join in on the event after 10am by crossing Highway 1 at the stoplight\, and heading north on the coastal trail bike path to join the team. \nParking: There are two public parking lots available in the area. One lot at Pacifica’s Community Center for a parking fee is located at the corner of Highway 1 and Crespi Drive where you park and cross at the Crespi traffic light then walk north on the bike path towards Rockaway Beach. The other lot is located at Linda Mar State Beach for a parking fee. However\, when you check in\, site captains can provide a parking pass good for use during your participation in the event. Should you stay beyond event hours\, parking fees apply. \nSupplies: Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own buckets and reusable gloves. Extra gloves\, buckets\, pickup sticks and specific tools for this site cleanup will be provided while supplies last. Because we are never sure of the weather\, make sure to bring extra layers\, a hat\, sunblock\, water and snacks. \nCleanup Areas: The parking lots\, promenade and the beach. \nLitter: Expect picking small and large pieces of trash from this popular beach site. Linda Mar site is a designated Japanese Tsunami Marine Debris Cleanup Program location. \nRestrooms: Public restrooms (and outdoor showers) are located at the Linda Mar parking lot\, and are open 6am-10pm.
